A gin named after a cow, yes, a cow which lived to the fine age of 48 years old. Bertha’s Revenge is a small batch whey based gin which is distilled in small batches at Ballyvolane House, Co. Cork in the south of Ireland. With an array of botanicals used to create this gin including grapefruit, elderflower and juniper berries of course, Bertha’s Revenge is incredibly unique and awesomely tasty! Winner of Irish Food Writers’ Drink Award in 2017.
Bertha’s Revenge is a unique endeavour of a gin that takes its base spirit from whey and its name from a legendary cow – Big Bertha. It is a milk gin and the main spirit is Whey Alcohol which gives it it's unique taste.
