Bombay Sapphire East Gin 70cl

Coming in at a slightly stronger ABV (43%)than that of the original Bombay Sapphire, Bombay East is the original recipe but with an added twist. Using the exact same botanicals as Bombay Sapphire, the East is vapour infused with Vietnamese peppercorns and Thai Lemongrass to give this gin a distinctively different flavour than its twin. These added botanicals add an extra spiciness and earthy notes to the already fantastic gin.

Whilst ordinary gins boil their botanicals directly in the spirit to achieve their flavour, the taste of Bombay Sapphire is created through the Vapour Infusion process. The 10 precious botanicals used in our gin are held separate from the spirit in perforated copper baskets, and when the heated vapours rise, the distinctive flavour of the botanicals are released. The result? A complex aromatic liquid that delivers a broader, more balanced flavour. In September 2011, Bombay Sapphire East was launched in test markets in New York and Las Vegas. This variety has another two botanicals, lemongrass and black peppercorns, in addition to the original ten. It is bottled at 42% and was designed to counteract the sweetness of American tonic water.
